AGES 2 – 3

CREATIVE MOVEMENT – TUESDAY, JUNE 23 – AUGUST 18  ---  9 classes, 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. The Tuesday class is full. A new class is now open Wednesday 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. June 24 - August 19.
 For children two years old on or before July 1. A 30 minute class with maximum enrollment of 8 children. The class uses imaginative, fun musical activities to build strength, flexibility, and body awareness; and improve gross motor skills, coordination, and posture. Special musical activities help develop a child's sense of rhythm and an awareness of the rich language of music. Includes floor work; basic, introductory tumbling and other mat work; and large movements across the floor. Children also learn to share space, time, and attention with classmates. Curriculum based on Leap 'n Learn Syllabus.
FEE FOR THE NINE WEEKS IS $72  – or -  $36 for 4 weeks, due upon enrollment to hold class placement. 

AGES 3 – 4

INTRODUCTION TO DANCE – TUESDAY, JUNE 23 – AUGUST 18  ---  9 classes, 6:00 – 6:45 p.m.  The Tuesday class is full. A new class is now open Wednesday 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. June 24 - August 19.
For children three years old on or before July 1. A 45 minute class with maximum enrollment of 12 children. The class continues the fun and imaginative activities of Leap ‘n Learn Curriculum described above in Creative Movement; and goes on to introduce pre-ballet, pre-tap, and basic tumbling and acrobatic skills. Parents are invited to observe the final class.
FEE FOR THE NINE WEEKS IS $108  – or - $52 for 4 weeks, due upon enrollment to hold class placement. 

JUNIOR DANCE INTENSIVES

 An opportunity for your child to sample ballet, tap, and acrobatics in age appropriate formats and curriculum. All Junior Dance Intensives are beginner level -- no previous dance training is required.
JUNIOR DANCE INTENSIVE FOR AGES 5 – 6  – For children five years old on or before September 1.
JUNE 23 – JULY 16; TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY ---  4:30 – 5:30 p.m.  -  12 Classes – 

 JUNIOR DANCE INTENSIVE FOR AGES 7 – 8  – For children seven years old on or before September 1.
JULY 28 – AUGUST 20; TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY ---  4:30 – 5:30 p.m.  -  12 Classes

FEES FOR EITHER INTENSIVE OF FOUR WEEKS IS $180 - or -
$96 for 2 weeks - or – $51 for one week, due upon enrollment to hold               class placement.  Each class is limited to 14 students.

 WORKSHOPS 

FAIRIES!! AGES 5 – 9 – JULY 20 - 24, MONDAY – FRIDAY, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. 
For children five years old on or before July 1.     A fun-filled opportunity for your child to learn ballet dances to the music of the fairies from The Sleeping Beauty Ballet. Participants will perform the fairy dances from The Sleeping Beauty Ballet as well as create their own magic wand, wings, and fairy shoes. Fairy shoes will be created by adding glitter to the participant’s own ballet slippers.  The workshop closes with a show for parents and family at 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 18.  Enrollment is limited to 20 fairies and does not require any previous dance training.
FEE FOR THE FIVE-DAY WORKSHOP IS $110 due upon enrollment to hold workshop placement. 

ACROBATICS WORKSHOP --  JULY 20 - 31, MONDAY – FRIDAY, 9:30 - 11:00a.m. For children six years old on or before July 1.   Beginner level students will develop basic tumbling and acrobatic skills. Intermediate and advanced level students will develop partner circus skills and work with props and acrobatic equipment. The workshop closes with a demonstration class for parents on Friday, August 1. 
FEE FOR THE TWO-WEEK WORKSHOP IS $175 or $95 for ONE WEEK, due upon enrollment to hold workshop placement. 

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL SUMMER DANCE PROGRAMS

All class/workshop placement is at Director’s discretion.  Partial enrollments are accepted ONLY if indicated under FEE INFORMATION at the end of each class or workshop description. Classes missed for vacation or illness may be made up during this summer program. Tuition credit will be considered only for cancellations after June 1; which will be considered ONLY if an unexpected, documented medical condition prevents the student from participation in a workshop. Workshops and classes not meeting minimum enrollment requirements are subject to cancellation and all deposits will be refunded.

BALLET INTENSIVES 

BEGINNER I BALLET INTENSIVE  --  DAILY CLASS, MONDAY – FRIDAY, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.   4 WEEKS, JULY 6 – 31.    
For children eight years old on or before July 1.   A four week ballet technique course based upon the Vaganova Syllabus. Included are musicality, dance history, nutrition for dancers, and injury prevention.
FEE FOR THE FOUR-WEEK WORKSHOP IS $320 or $87 per week.  A 50% deposit is due upon enrollment to hold workshop placement, with the balance due by June 29. 

BEGINNER II / III BALLET INTENSIVE  --  DAILY CLASS, MONDAY – FRIDAY, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.  4 WEEKS, JULY 6 – 31.    
For dancers who have completed Beginner I Ballet.   A four week ballet technique course based upon the Vaganova Syllabus. Included are musicality, dance history, nutrition for dancers, and injury prevention.
FEE FOR THE FOUR-WEEK WORKSHOP IS $320 or $87 per week.  A 50% deposit is due upon enrollment to hold workshop placement, with the balance due by June 29. 

INTERMEDIATE I BALLET INTENSIVE  --  DAILY CLASS, MONDAY – FRIDAY, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.   4 WEEKS, JULY 6 – 31.  
For dancers who have completed Beginner III Ballet.  A ballet technique class continuing with the Vaganova Syllabus. Included are musicality, dance history, nutrition for dancers, and injury prevention.
FEE FOR THE FOUR-WEEK WORKSHOP IS $320 or $87 per week.  A 50% deposit is due upon enrollment to hold workshop placement, with the balance due by June 29. 

INTERMEDIATE II / III / IV / ADVANCED BALLET – TUES & THU, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. JUNE 23 – AUG 20
NINE WEEKS / 18 classes -- FEE FOR THE 9 WEEKS IS $400; $200 FOR 4 WEEKS, OR $25 PER CLASS. 

CHARACTER DANCE 

BEGINNER CHARACTER DANCE – WEDNESDAY, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. JULY 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29, & AUGUST 5     Minimum age is 10.  Taught by Dina Fadeyeva. Learn the folk-style dances you see in Coppelia, Don Quixote, and other classical story ballets. Dina will teach dances from Russia, Hungary, Romania, and other countries.
FEE FOR THE 6 CLASSES IS $110, due upon enrollment to hold class placement, OR $20 PER CLASS. 

POLYNESIAN DANCE 

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER POLYNESIAN  DANCE – THURSDAY JULY 9, 16, 23, & 30 & AUG 6.
AGES 6 -13 meets 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.  -------------------  AGES 14+ meets 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Children’s class will learn Hawaiian and Maori style dances, including the Poi dance.
Adult class will learn Hawaiian, Maori, and Tahitian style dances. Both classes will learn prop-making for their dances.
FEE FOR THE 5 CLASSES IS $75, due upon enrollment to hold class placement, OR $17 PER CLASS. 

TEEN AND ADULT CLASSES 

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER TAP – TUESDAY, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. JUNE 23  through AUGUST 18
Minimum age is 14 and there is NO UPPER AGE LIMIT.  For everyone who has always wanted to tap dance! A fun approach to seriously learning to tap! The Al Gilbert Syllabus includes barre, center, and tap combinations. For students with no previous tap dance experience.
FEE FOR THE 9 CLASSES IS $135, due upon enrollment to hold class placement, OR $17 PER CLASS. 

INTERMEDIATE TAP – TUESDAY, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. JUNE 23  through AUGUST 18  Introducing the Grade 6 Al Gilbert Syllabus. Includes barre, center, tap combinations, and tap turns across the floor.
FEE FOR THE 9 CLASSES IS $135, due upon enrollment to hold class placement, OR $17 PER CLASS. 

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER FLAMENCO DANCE – WEDNESDAY, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. JULY 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29, & AUGUST 5     Minimum age is 16 and there is NO UPPER AGE LIMIT.  Taught by Dina Fadeyeva. Learn the basics of using castanets, upper body movement, and flamenco footwork.
FEE FOR THE 6 CLASSES IS $110, due upon enrollment to hold class placement, OR $20 PER CLASS.
